Biometric Screening

Every year, EDENS offers a biometric screening.  This offering provides an opportunity for each employee to receive a personalized and confidential report covering many aspects of his or her overall wellness including risks for health issues like diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.  Specifically, you will receive your numbers on blood pressure, weight, BMI, glucose and cholesterol.  The biometric screening is covered 100% by EDENS.  Participation in our biometric screening is linked to health insurance premiums and ensures that you receive the top employee-only premium subsidy.

EDENS is committed to helping you achieve your best health. Rewards for participation in a wellness program, such as the insurance premium subsidy and wellness reimbursement, are available to all full time employees.  If you would like to participate but find it is unreasonably difficult or medically inadvisable for you to participate in the biometric screening and/or smoking cessation class due to a medical condition, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by different means. Program Forms

Wellness Reimbursement

EDENS will reimburse an employee $30 per month or $360 per year for gym memberships, race registrations and diet programs. Understanding the importance of mental health and stress reduction, we recently expanded the program to include classes and experiences that may support employee mental health and wellbeing such as art classes, music lessons, dance classes, meditation classes / retreats and cooking lessons.  Fitness equipment and fitness apparel are not eligible for reimbursement.

In order to qualify for this benefit, the employee must participate in the biometric screening.

Employees should submit proof of payment (receipt, bank statement, etc.) to Camelia Stepanov by the 5th of each month.  Previous months will be reimbursed as long as they are within the same calendar year.  Note, the reimbursement is typically included in the last paycheck of the month.
